Kambo is a traditional Amazonian cleansing ritual used for physical, emotional, and energetic purification. The secretion of the sacred frog Phyllomedusa bicolor is applied through small superficial points on the skin, allowing the medicine to enter the lymphatic system. Indigenous tribes have used Kambo for centuries to remove panema, meaning heavy or negative energy, restore clarity, strengthen the immune system, and reconnect with inner balance.
This ceremony is held in a safe, respectful setting guided by an experienced facilitator, with intention, presence, and integration support.
Participants should come with a clear intention and a grounded mindset.
You must be in good general health. Kambo is not suitable for people with serious heart conditions, history of stroke, aneurysm, severe mental health disorders, epilepsy, or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Avoid alcohol, recreational drugs, and heavy meals before the ceremony.
Follow fasting instructions provided by the facilitator, usually no food for 8 to 12 hours before the session.
Full medical screening and informed consent are required prior to participation.
The ceremony begins with intention setting and preparation of the body. Small superficial points are made on the skin where Kambo is applied.
Within minutes, participants typically experience an intense but short process that may include heat, increased heart rate, sweating, nausea, vomiting, or emotional release. This phase usually lasts 15 to 30 minutes and is considered part of the cleansing process.
After the acute phase, many people report deep calm, mental clarity, emotional lightness, and renewed energy.
Integration time is provided for rest, reflection, and grounding after the ceremony.
In the days before the ceremony, reduce caffeine, alcohol, processed foods, and sexual activity if possible.
Stay well hydrated the day before, but follow facilitator guidance regarding water intake on the day of ceremony.
Reflect on your intention, what you wish to release, cleanse, or invite into your life.
Wear comfortable clothing and bring a towel, water bottle, and an open mind
