4. Consent: When Cookies Are Activated
NON-ESSENTIAL COOKIES AND TOOLS ARE NOT INSTALLED OR EXECUTED BEFORE YOU HAVE GIVEN YOUR CONSENT. SIMPLY CONTINUING TO BROWSE OR CLOSING THE BANNER DOES NOT CONSTITUTE ACCEPTANCE.
On your first visit to the Platform, a banner allows you to accept all cookies, reject non-essential ones with the same ease, or open the detailed settings to choose which categories to allow individually. Until then, only strictly necessary cookies are used, for which consent is not required under applicable EU and Italian law.
5. How to Change or Withdraw Your Choices
- At any time, via the 'Cookie settings' link in the site footer. Withdrawal is as easy as giving consent and takes effect immediately.
- Via your browser settings, which allow you to block or delete cookies already stored. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent you from logging in and may affect the Platform's correct functioning.
We will ask for your consent again after 12 months, or sooner if we introduce new purposes or new tools.
6. Third-Party Cookies and Transfers
Some tools are provided by third parties who help us operate the Platform β currently Supabase (authentication and database), Vercel (hosting, usage statistics, and performance metrics), PostHog (usage statistics and session recordings, with servers in the European Union) and Gomry (checkout on listings with online payments turned on). These providers act as data processors on our behalf and may process data outside the European Economic Area, on the basis of the safeguards described in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy. Non-essential tools are activated only with the relevant consent.
Platform pages that display maps load content provided by Mapbox, which may process technical connection data necessary for rendering the map.
On listings for which the Host has turned on online payments, the buy button opens a checkout provided by Gomry Europe B.V. The checkout script and the technical cookies needed for payment are loaded only at the moment the User opens the checkout, and not on simply visiting the page. These are tools strictly necessary to provide the service the User expressly requested, for which consent is not required under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code. The processing of payment data is described in Section 5.2 of the Privacy Policy.
7. How Long Do Cookies Last?
- Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser.
- Persistent cookies (such as your language preference or consent record) remain on your device for up to 12 months, or until you delete them manually.
8. Your Rights
In relation to data processed via cookies, you may exercise all the rights described in Section 14 of the Privacy Policy, including the right of access, objection, and withdrawal of consent, by writing to privacy@wanderer.live. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority β in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it) β or with the authority of the EU member state where you reside.
9. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or for legal reasons. We will post the updated version on this page, indicating the date of last update.
